I got the pics from the show.. but i´m not allowed to publish them until friday.. so it´s another few days wait.. here is a preview.. :) The event at jalouse the other day turned out really successfully :) and it also resulted in a few orders which is always good and of course that is the whole aim with having a fashion show - you want to spread the word about the brand. I'll upload photos as soon as they are given to me. Was supriced how much press turned out to be there...always good!! Got a studio offer the other dAy ...unfortunately it's nothing of interest for linnn right now, but if anyone else (assuming you're An artist...) are looking for a studio or a deskspace in east london for a very good price get in contact with me by e-mail info@linnn.co.uk and I'll give you more details about it. Seems great anyway as it is quite a few music/fashion/media companies and freelance people who have joined already. Will launch a new clothing range on the website soon, so will keep you updated!! I´m having another fashion show within short... this time it is in London at the private members club Jalouse in central london! The organizers are Decayenne.. and it is an event organized mainly for their members but members of linnn clothing will also be given invites. Long time since I updated here now, sorry for my lack of writing.. just haven´t had that good internet connection and haven´t had a second over because of the show that was held past thursday. Has been an extremely intense week.. but fun! The show was held at SyrupStockholm at Hamngatan 2 in Stockholm. Amazing location and a really nice room to have an event like this (see pics). Was more like a launch/mingle party rather that a set fashion show. The models was walking around the guests in various outfits, so people could get a closer look to the clothes than just watch from a distance. I was a good atmosphere to the show and the set-up got great response. The great out turn is a lot thanks to all amazing people who have helped me and a big thanks also to our sponsors. Purity Vodka sponsored the event with their fantastic Vodka and its sharp designed bottles became almost part of the interior. Apart from a look book from linnn, the goodiebags also included treats from some of our sponsors - Vitamin Water, Tidningskungen.se and Cistar. Big thanks to all you guys that helped me!!! Pr girls, dj:s, models, waitresses, helpers ;) Couldn´t have done it without you. Also had a few meetings with some PR agencies... some of them seems really good and i´m very interested in one of them... but some was just not for me. Will let you know how it goes and reveal the name once contracts are written. I´m having one of those days today when nothing goes your way.. started already this morning when I accidently walked in to my boyfriend´s hot cup of tea which the came all over his foot and stained the carpet :( then trouble with the sponsors to get the delivery on time for thursday... then my printing trip to angel ended up taking 4 hours... 3 HOURS to print. That´s mad. Slowest place on earth - but they print good and fairly good prices so still feel like using them. Was a mad 2 hours wait to even get to speak to someone as the place seemed to be over crowded by people having exams in architecture or something. Made me really annoyed anyway as i did´t count with a 4 hour trip to get my look books printed. Oh, well.. they came out nice in the end :) Then there has been a long list of smaller other annoying things that went wrong today. Hoping that now, after 2 strong coffees that my luck will come back and things will start to go my way again. As this is my last day I can work properly before the show i got crazy loads of stuff to do. So sorry if i´m not the best blogger at this very moment.. but i´ll be back every other day at least!! random..

So so hard to manage everything.. so many bits and pieces that need to come together before the show. And to track all these sponsors details down and to follow up the companies who have agreed on sponsoring and so on... it´s a full time job! And i only have like an hour more to spare for it.. as i really need to get going with my clothes... finishing touches etc. Things you think won´take any time, but in the end it takes ages! Found a new fashion blog yesterday that i quite like. Not sure why, as it´s not very unique.. but i kind of like it! But not very good for summer 2010 though, but once in a while you need a treat! Even though i really enjoy working like crazy to set this label linnnup, it can get a bit lonely and it´s nice with working company once in a while... i know I´m out and about every day and speaking to loads of you, but it is still not the same as having a few work friends around you. But on the other side, it´s probably not long until i have a big studio going full of employees.. hahha.. i dream!! mini-panic I´m having a bit of a stressful time riight now, as i just discovered last night that something is wrong with my website (www.linnn.co.uk) and i can+t do anything about it as i don´t have access to the coding (though on the other hand i don´t have a qlue how to do it anyway.. haha. Really hope it will get sorted soon as some of the invites has been delivered during the week-end, and i can imagine there then will be a few people going on to the site to see the clothes. Really do hope it gets sorted!! Cross my fingers my computer master Klas will see his e-mail at work very soon :) Week-end of work... Trying to find a new seamsdresser... easier said than done. Been in contact with a few already, but so many seems like ((i´m sorry to say) muppets and extremely unprofessional. Either they are like that or they are over-prized (talking about £40/hour...which would be a crazy bad business if I hired someone like that.) SO the mission to find a seamsdresser continue, but if anyone of you know anyone good to contact, please e-mail on linn.nydren@linnn.co.uk Got a inspiration for the show.. wouldn´t it be cool to fill the hole room with loads of lamps/chandelier.. there is already one gigantic chandeleir in the centre of the room.. but perhaps i should add more of them, to create a feeling like the picture!? Shoot is done! Yesterday went really well!! So exciting to see the collection on the model and to see it all on camera!! It´s all thanks to my lovely model Maddie and fantastic photographer Charlotte Rey (who is also working at acne paper among other magazines) . It´s the same team as for the previous photo shoot. Great girls to work with i must say... it´s just so important to work with someone who got the same picture of a describing word... for example, when i say i want an arrogant attitude - they show me that arrogant attitude i have in mind.. not someone elses idea of arrogant. Did that make sence?? Love it! Can´t get over Lanvin´s pre-fall collection.. i normally adore his clothes, but this is just so so good. Think the styling of the shoots add on with quite a bit as well. As it is much more fun and fresh!! Go to LANVIN pre-fall 2010! to watch the collection! My own collection is coming together well nicely at the moment. Really good fun to see it develop under such a short time.. consider less than 2 weeks ago i didn´t had anything made yet.. not even a single pattern or toille! But now it´s all here... all over the place.. looks like a complete mess with fabric, garments, patterns, pins, machines etc everywhere... in other words it´s like it should be, or should I say as it always is. No matter how well planned things are, it seems like in fashion everything is getting finished off in the very last minute and that includes working loooong looong days. This is when people say - "but you´re doing what you love". Not sure if i like that comment much, even though i do do what i love, but sometimes it makes you wonder to what price. That wish of working normal hours like everybody else and getting a regular salary sometimes hits me.. what would life been if i would have followed my childhood dream of becoming a doctor in the emergency part. Hmm, nope, that´s not my thing any more , as I now seem to be weirdly scared of blood.. haha.. guess that´s not such a good combination. And i must say what i do now is brilliant, apart from the freedom and creative side of being a fashion designer you get the fun to meet loads of great personalities. Time for me to stop blog now and keep working on the collection, as the photo shoot is due tomorrow and most garments still have things to work on and i have 5 garments that haven´t even been sewn at all yet.. haha! Cross fingers i´ll manage it all! At least i´ve now finally sent out those invites!! Turned out so good (see pic) °°°° Laters °°°°° invites... Been well busy the past few days with the layout and design of the show invite.. been a few problems with the prints as well of course.. when ever does it goes absolutely fine when you are to print your stuff. Asking me, i´ll answer never. This is bad flash-backs to my time at Istituto Marangoni... always something that goes wrong in the very last minute. Hopefully it will all soon be done and i need to send it to sweden at the end of today. Thursday is the day of the shoot.. and i still need to confirm with the last model. Although, said that i´m just doing the layout for the show´s invite. Need to be sent next week, so must get done!! Just been looking around on nineteen74.com Great site in such as there is a lot of fashion people.. designers, models, photographers etc... but I am in shock of the design of the site. Feel so old-school and the black background just isn´t the right fir for a site like its kind. But as i said, great for contacts wihtin fashion. Fitting Just had a fitting for the new collection this afternoon.. all went well.. phu... just some small adjustments and things to add of course, but nothing dramatic so now i can keep on with the rest. so so stressed!! Photo shoot on thursday and i´m just half way through the collection. Thankfully i´m getting some help on sunday with the production.. really do need that!! Nice to see the clothes develop though :) unfortunately i can´t show you any pics yet,.. so you have to be happy with these .. click here! hehe Tonight i need to go out and about to meet some people!! It is a femenine womens wear label focusing on a stong fit, confident and sexy (but yet classy) look that can be mention under the headline "cocktail outfit". You know.. that outfit that works borth during the days working hours and for the parties after. To give you some updates on what are happening in the studio, fashion related gossip/parties/events and what´s going on in my world of setting up a label based in London i thought i might start this blog. I will also try to give you some other fashion related inspirations, because to be honest... as much as I wish my costumer is only wearing clothes from my brand, we all know we like to mix and match various styles and labels to customize it to fit our image. I´m having one of those week-end where you have to cancel all other plans to sit inside and work.. buhu, this is times when you think "why do i do this". On the other hand, i guess that´s what you got to do in every job if you want a career! if i am gonna be completely honest with you I sadly kind of enjoyed last night.. haha.. well, it felt good being inside working and I was doing the editing of the photoshoot so it was a "new project" so to say. Plus you can be on the phone at the same time, which make feel not totally alone :)
Unfortunately the day was soo soo hectic and i ended up not taking a single photo with my own camera for blog purposes.. sorry guys!! will give you a small preview picture anyway, even thoguh i´m meant to keep it all quiet at least until the fashion show which is coming up soon!!
